Hardiebacker 250 Cement Backerboard 1200 X 800 X 6mm

The Hardiebacker 6mm is a concrete backer board that is used for overboarding plasterboard or plaster, and can be installed horizontally or vertically. You will need to leave a gap of 3mm between the floor and wall edges that can then be filled with a good quality bathroom sealant. Hardiebacker 6mm is ideal for use in wetrooms and in conjunction with underfloor heating. The boards can be cut straight or in circles: for a circular cut we recommend using a masonry hole saw, or a jigsaw with a fitted fibre cement board blade, or by scoring a circle and using a hammer to tap the circle out. For straight cuts, simply use a Score and Snap Knife. For 6mm Hardiebacker we recommend using at least 12 screws per board.
